About this item
80 compartments for 25mm miniature figurines
Soft foam to protect painted miniatures
Durable polypropylene case
Built of durable polypropylene, this large figure carrying case is used to protect, store, and transport gaming miniatures. Case includes 6 foam sheets and 1 chipboard. Two foam sheets have a total of 80 die-cut spaces (user to remove) that will encase figures for maximum protection. The 2 sheets have ~40 spaces each - 76 spaces measure 1-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide x 9/16" deep. 4 spaces measure 2-1/8" long x 1-1/4" wide x 9/16" deep. A chipboard separator lies between levels to keep the foam sheets intact. A lift tab is attached to the chipboard for easy removal of the top layer. A plastic strip runs along one side of the case which works as a hinge, while the opposite side has 2 plastic snap-latches to keep the case closed. Case measures 17-1/2" long x 7-3/4" wide x 2-3/8" tall.
Hints for Use By light use of contact cement at the intersections and edges of the die-cut foam sheet, you can attach it to the bottom sheet for extra stability. The bottom sheet may then be glued to the bottom of the box interior.
For larger figures, you can cut the dividing walls of the thicker foam sheet and fold the walls back. Note: Cement, knife, Battlemat, and miniatures not included.
Caution: Adult supervision required while performing cuts.
I didn't read close enough on this one. I took it that it would hold a D&D mini with a base. If you read thr description it says the depth is 9/16". So, it does not do well with a 1" round base. I knew it wouldn't hold 80 minis, as they are all different sizes, but not being able to close the lid was a surprise. F you use removable bases it would be a great buy though.
I'm not returning, as I cut in the foam, but I use two rubber bands to help keep the lid close to closed.
